Lawrence Novak, April 7th

Wednesday, April 7th, will be this semester's final Challenges and Innovation in Civil and Environmental Engineering lecture. Lawrence Novak, SE, SECB, LEED AP, Director of Engineered Buildings, Portland Cement Association, will be presenting "Philosophy of Structural Engineering for the Burj Khalifa (Dubai) Tower."

Larry Novak has more than 25 years of experience as a structural engineer on high-rise, mid-rise and special use structures throughout the world, including seismic regions. Prior to joining the Portland Cement Association, he was an Associate Partner with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill where he recently served as the lead structural engineer for the Burj Khalifa, Dubai.

The seminar will be in 129 DeBartolo at 4:30pm. Please stop by and welcome Larry Novak to our college at the cookies and milk reception before the seminar at 4pm in the CE/GEOS conference room, 156 Fitzpatrick.
